Too many taxes too often. Taxing gross revenue is a sure fire way to kill small businesses trying to establish themselves.

An increase on business taxes is passed onto the consumer. Consumers want more affordability not less.

This tax is unnecessary and regressive. It will impose a burden on our small businesses and increase costs to consumers.

What are they planning on pissing it away on? More sidewalks to nowhere. More services to for invaders?

No BPOL tax was the main reason many business owners chose Stafford County as their home. The property taxes have risen astronomically. Businesses and residents are currently paying 11-23% more than neighboring counties. Why would the current board want to introduce a BPOL tax and sabotage the relationship with those who helped the county prosper?

We own Towne Barbers. Covid hurt us terribly. Now more and more it's harder to make ends meet. Another raise in taxes would help eliminate another Mom and Pop establishment.
