We pay enough taxes in Stafford County...way too much even. Maybe the the BoS managed funds better we would be able to funds the things that matter like schools and roads.
Maybe you can pass the expenses onto the contractors who are building neighborhoods every 10 feet.
More taxes are just going to fuel the fire of a mass exodus from the county. Stop taxing the good people of Stafford!!

Small businesses with lower revenue that are trying to be successful will feel the impact significantly. With all of the overhead with starting a business, most owners don’t even take a salary. This will only drive out start ups and small, family businesses to seek out more business friendly areas or not even take the risk if this is approved.

The tax increases in Stafford county have to be reversed, not expanded. I simply can’t afford to to pay more taxes, especially on revenue. Those costs will be passed down to every resident from every business.

My business already has a very low profit margin, this will make it even lower. I will be forced to raise my prices. We try our very best to keep the money local in our county, and if our prices are raised, people will buy elsewhere.

Any increase in BPOL tax will only hinder new businesses in Stafford County especially small businesses and negatively effect existing ones. The additional tax burden would inevitably be passed on to the consumers.
