Stafford County is supposedly a business friendly county. Why is the Stafford Board of Supervisors not focus on getting more businesses to come? But instead proposing a BPOL on businesses. No BPOL would send a clear signal that Stafford County is serious about being business-friendly — and that signal matters. It's the kind of policy that shows up in site-selection decisions and helps us attract and keep employers and jobs right here in our county.

I teach at a small art center in Stafford, Corgi and Clay Art Center. After moving here from Atlanta this has been a second home for me, i've made great connections with students and other staff and have been building community like many others who take classes or work here. I know that this tax would heavily affect the ability for this space and community spaces like this to continue to exist as they operate on very thin margins as it is. Stafford should be supporting small business

as a business owner who supports 50 people, this tax adds a burden which reduces the amount of revenue we can use to increase pay and benefits. taxing businesses at this level is simply punitive and harms the growth of people in ours and other businesses. also this leads to higher prices which average people simply cannot afford and will result in people and businesses spending less money which reduces value in their homes and businesses

We need to have good businesses in Stafford county, things for the kids to actually do! If they add another tax, none of these businesses are going to come to Stafford. Our property taxes are insane, and the money isn’t going to education where our children need it the most.

We need more retail shops. We need places for kids and teens to have fun. I would like to see more restaurants, the movie theater and hundreds of other things they have promised over the years. They need to show all county residents where our tax dollars are going. Is it going into their pockets. I vote HELL NO to any new taxes, this is insanity at it's finest. Mismanagement of money for the same old BS tax hikes every year. All they do is push good businesses out.
