Petition for Professional Training 

I support the development of Trauma-Informed Care Training for licensed barbers, hairstylists, cosmetologists, estheticians, nail technicians, instructors, and beauty professionals throughout South Carolina. 

I believe professionals should receive education that helps them: 

✓ Recognize signs of emotional distress and trauma 

✓ Respond with compassion and professionalism 

✓ Protect healthy professional boundaries 

✓ Know when and how to refer clients to community resources 

✓ Reduce compassion fatigue and burnout 

✓ Promote emotionally safe salon and barbershop environments
