Continued cuts to fire service resources through decades of underinvestement by governement wil inevitably leave communities and firefighters less safe . Stop the cuts. Invest in this vital service

Its always the same need yo save money get rid of the the people that do the job. It would serve them better to have a long hard look at all the ways they waste money.

Given the recent fire in glasgow city center near cwntral station I feel we need as many opporational services as possible to retain future safety accross the city, Losing the station in Yorkhill would add to an already pressured fireservice working at limited capacity.

Fire safety is no joke. Slower responses lead to higher likelihood of death

Living or working in an area you develop an understanding of flow of a community. The wee nooks and crannies best routes to go. Importantly. Community. First. Time to react time to reach when and where required

I live very close to this and it’s a very heavily populated area with mainly Victorian buildings

I consider the provision of an emergency response in this area of the city an absolute nescessity with the next nearest fire station some distance away. They closed the Central,Partick Anderston, the North, North West and the South many years ago and Yorkhill formerly the West Marine (with fireboat) has managed to remain untouched. It's strategic location between Cowcaddens and Knightswood fills a large gap.

There should be more fire stations not less! Why on earth would you close a fire station.

With all the recent fires in and around Glasgow over the last few months, I couldn’t think of a worse time to close down our local fire station. I feel that this will have an impact on response times as well as placing more pressure on other stations. More investment is needed in our fire services rather than reducing them.

I stay in the community and I do not see the benefit of this closing especially when there are thousands of people going to be moving into the area in Finnieston.

Increasing student accommodation locally needs to be supported by local fire stations.
