The trees that line the road are that of a nature reserve that is enjoyed by many including an abundance of wildlife. Please do not remove the tree!

This project is an abomination to the community and environment. Property values along this route will decline and the disruption to life via noise and air pollution is greatly accelerated for minimal return. There is simply not the increase in ridership, as stated. This project should be abandoned!!

Walking very often in a beautiful and serene country road, probably the last one in our section of Santa Barbara.

This will destroy the monarch butterfly migratory path and create a massive environmental negative impact

It’s important because those majestic trees make Padaro the stately beautiful Lane it is.

When we lived on Padaro Lane the magic and the e charm of the street was the tall trees and the shade canopy they provided.
Save the trees -save the charm!
I heard this song recently - i thought it might be appropriate to the issue.

Considering that this road is being used by bicyclists and pedestrians, the planned siding is simply too close to the road and therefore hazardous.

These trees serve as important habitat for birds, insects (monarch butterflies) as well as providing shade and noise buffer for recreational users and homeowners. There has to be a better place for the siding project. Taking these trees out would be a horrible mistake.

This would be a travesty for all of the reasons mentioned in the petition and in the comments. Please reconsider!

The bird filled canopy protects us from the sun and from the freeway noise. And... it's beautiful! So many bikers/walkers/joggers flock to Padaro because of it.

Please save this important environment; the majestic trees and wildlife on Padaro Lane cannot be replaced. The pollution of idling diesel trains along this road will cause harm to all who live or frequent this area.

A rail siding along Padaro Lane and the elimination and severe trimming of so many trees would irreparably damage this beautiful environment.

I feel strongly that the environment needs to be protected. Please sign this petition. The RR needs to find an alternative way to meet their needs!
