We’ve only recently moved to the area because of its beautiful countryside and peaceful surroundings. We walk our dog in the Blackdown Hills every day and love the scenery. The roads around Taunton are already busy. Building in Blackdown Vale will only add more traffic and take away the natural beauty that makes this area so special. Once these green spaces are lost, they can’t be replaced.

We live in a very rural area with small villages and hamlets in and on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is little infra structure, and very few amenities. A settlement of this size will be totally inappropriate in such a landscape. It will be ruinous for those living in the area and for wildlife in particular.

The road infrastructure already can't cope - especially the A303/A358 roundabout and through Henlade. If they aren't improving that (which they aren't, that consultation is dead and buried), this is ridiculous.

I live in the area and it is heavily farmed and we need to allow the farming to continue to have some level of food security. In addition the area already struggles with infrastructure for the current population of Taunton and surrounding areas.

A RIDICULOUS size development for a town that has already reached or surpassed saturation point. Devastating a beautiful landscape and agricultural productive land. No infrastructure, lack of reservoirs, and a motorway that cannot cope........it seems to be closed on a daily basis!
