The area is too beautiful to develop. Brownfield sites exist in Taunton including Firepool and Tangier riverside.

Because we are losing too much land to building & seeing our beautiful countryside gradually being taken. They always say we will plant new trees which leads to another problem. I do not live in the area but love the West Country, very special to me. Wish you luck.

I am signing this petition because I object to this development, which will put more pressure on local schools, hispitals, and GP surgeries. It will also put extra pressure on water, gas and electric supplies and the roads are already far too busy. There are not enough jobs in the area and affordable housing is not affordable. Even affordable social housing rents are often too high leaving even working people needing to claim UC for housing cost thereby increasing the welfare even further.

If this development proceeds it sets a presedent to continue building and it will be never ending stretching for miles Into our glorious unspoilt country side. This also cannot be taken in isolation, it has to be looked at along side the other abominations of development taking place around the area ie Trull to Stonegallow & the proposed site in Wellington south of the A38 Oldway Road. The same argument can be applied….where will this stop once the areas outside village/curtiledge is invaded.

I live this side of Taunton and the M5.
Being the foothills of the Blackdown Hills its a particularly beautiful landscape.
I couldn't bear to see this built on. Should this happen I would not be able to stay here as it would be to painful to witness.

This is such a beautiful village, with countryside and wildlife habitat. We have lived in the area for nearly 50 years and has been great for our me ral health.
The roads and lanes can not support the amount of through traffic and the noise and pollution will be hurendous. It will put pressure on all the resources and will not cope.

This is prime agricultural land and will impinge on the Blackdown Hills AOB protection zone. When we have climate crisis and a food crisis, why destroy biodiverse habitats and productive land. Has Somerset Council gone mad? We need to keep Somerset's rural businesses going and protect our AOBs... Highly unimpressive 'planning'...

I walk here and drive through to get to Taunton. The countryside is wonderful and special with many species. The roads are small and country roads not fit for big development.

Its an area of outstanding beauty that needs to remain at the foot of the Black down Hills. It's ludicrous to even consider demolishing the countryside for 7k+ of homes. The roads are already struggling with all the present traffic, the infrastructure is not in place to cope with this! The Drs can't been seen now, Dentists, schools, already struggling with the increased population from all the recent new builds It's time to stand up to protect the wildlife & the remaining countryside thats left
