This has been available to my children and my grandchildren. It’s been wonderful for the kids and the families, enjoyed by all. Why stop now??!

Father Foley's decision to close down the basketball program is apalling. My sons & grandsons have played for St. Peter's for many years and now this being my grandson's last year is being taken away,
it's not fair to the children or to the community. It brought us together, built friendships and strengthened our faith. I'm asking the Lord, please bring Father Foley back to his senses and bring this program back. As far as I'm concerned if the program has to go , then so should Father Foley.

I’m a product of CYO basketball (St. Monica’s) which prepared me for high school basketball at St. Ignatius. I’m a big fan of CYO and would like the same opportunity for my son now being a resident of Pacifica.

I played basketball at St Peter’s from 4th through 8th grade. A lot of good memories and still stay in contact with my old teammates. Basketball is important to kids and should be continued at St Peter’s indefinitely

My daughter's played CYO basketball for 6 years as members of St. Peter's church. Last year my granddaughter played for the first time. This program is a treasured part of our lives in Pacifica. Please consider allowing the CYO program to continue.

Praying for the all the children of the community to have this program continue on. It was a blessing to witness a building full of supportive individuals rooting for every kids that steps into that gym and we pray that we can still live those moments for many more years to come.

I have seen my children grow so much since participating in St. Peter’s basketball and feel like sports for youth keeps communities safer because the children in developmental years have healthy outlets to focus their energy on thus preventing them from one day straying off course.

I know firsthand the impact CYO can have on a young athlete’s life. Playing CYO at St. Peter’s gave me some of my best childhood memories and a love for basketball that ultimately led to a college basketball scholarship.
CYO was a place where we grew in faith, felt safe, and were part of a supportive community. To take away those same opportunities from future generations means to take away the experience of the memories, friendships, and lessons that made differences in so many lives.
