It’s important for all the children who play and look forward to it. I’m sad that it would end when so many children join it. We already don’t have a lot of options around our town with basketball. It be a loss to see the CYO program go. My son loves playing basketball and loves playing for St. Peter’s Church. I really wish they would think more about it before ending such a great program that’s been around for so long.

I Am sure there is information to which I am not privy. As a member of the community and the parish for over 50 years, I recognize the basketball program as an excellent program for my children, and a community unifier. There must be a way to save it. Once dismantled, it becomes nearly impossible to restore.

My middle age children played CYO at St Peter’s and my grandchildren as a second generation. It’s something Father Foley should be proud of. The program has such positive parish and community value.

Pope Leo is a massive sports fan and active participant. CYO was critical to my success in school and the Navy.
