I played CYO from 4th to 8th grade and had so much fun. I always was excited for practices and games. I can’t imagine local kids not having that opportunity.

Many fond memories playing basketball for St. Peter’s. It’s such a shame things for kids in our community keep getting taken away. Please reconsider for the sake of the children.

This is a tragedy for St Peter’s parish and the entire Pacifica community! I pray that there will be a resolution soon for our youth. This basketball program brings so much joy to everyone here. They not only play basketball games, but also at participate at CYO masses and breakfasts. All events I’ve attended began with a moment of reverence & thankful prayer. Isn’t that the goal?

It is truly devestating for our community to lose the CYO program that so many generations have grown up participating in. These kids need to have CYO basketball as a sport option and the opportunity to be part of something that has meant so much to so many people.

Our boys gained confidence, learned sportsmanship and made lasting friendships in this league. Taking it away is a travesty to these children.

Great activity for kids and brings the community members together. This is a positive move for St.Peter to expose children to God’s glory through physical games.

St. Peter’s basketball was a huge part of my childhood and now I’m coaching and my children are playing. This program has meant so much to my family and I and we don’t want to lose this very important and meaningful activity for our children and our community.

St Peters is a staple in our community. 30+ years later I still think of the memories I made there with lifelong friends. If there is a way to continue the tradition we have to do anything to support it.

Playing basketball for St Peter’s for 6 years is one of my most treasured childhood memories. I made the best friends, learned about teamwork and community. I have had the pleasure of going to watch my friends’ kids play the past few years and it is still a fantastic program. I would be a massive loss for the children and families in Pacifica. And it is still an affordable way for kids to play in a basketball league as well. Please save the program for this generation and others to come.

My child has played all of her eligible years for cyo; this would be her final year to play cyo basketball. She is hearbroken that this may not be an option for no clear reason. A church community should be providing opportunities to be a part of it, not continuously removing them; especially for the youth.

To lose the St Peter’s basketball program will be a travesty to the youth programs in Pacifica . We should be encouraging more programs instead of taking them away . My son played in the program and it influenced his love for the game and learning teamwork and comradery .

Please consider continuing this great program for our kids in our community!! My daughter loves having the opportunity to play basketball and would be devastated!
