A well thought out and tested plan would invoke support from the country. This is too important to be rushed.

What isn't broken doesn't need fixing, we all did the Common Entrance Exam and we all came out okay. Everything educational institution have exams it's normal and at some point it's pressure we all deal with we just need to manage it accordingly

The standardized tests introduce a method of manipulation into the BSEE. One test only. Students who are unable to take the test should do an alternative test on another occasion.

I strongly support a move away from high stakes testing for young children in general, and away from the CEE in particular.
But the move needs to be careful, stepwise, well supported by data, and fully transparent to stakeholders.
I do not feel that the current process satisfies these requirements.

This is rushed and needs actual discussion supported by evidence (anecdotes aren’t data). The concerns of the parents and children need to be addressed and not condescendingly dismissed by those whose children are either long past this system or who circumvented it.

As a facilitator or the homeschool process I am not satisfied that adequate provisions have been made for equitable assessment of such students. In additition. The rationale provided (at the subsequently discontinued townhall meetings) for the timing and target group chosen for commencement of said reform is flimsy and inadequate. Well thought out, planned, tested, implemented and evidence-based reform is whole-heartedly welcomed. This, however, is not it.

My child’s education is not to be experimented with. Exams are an important part of real life. One exam doesn’t write off anyone. Leave that exam alone.

Not properly thought through by the MOE. The MOE also needs more time to put these measures it place. If this is the way the MOE wants to restructure the primary school educational program I would suggest they start with small trials in all the primary schools starting with a younger form like class 1 or 2 and not a class 3 who were already being prepped from class 1 and 2 to take the common entrance exam in its current format.

This plan needs to be halted because there are no clearly defined SMART outcomes for teachers and parents to measure the child's progress, especially for the first and second cohorts that were severely hampered by the COVID lockdowns. Furthermore,the curriculum is too packed with subjects other than Mathematics and English, both of which the children are currently struggling with.

I agree it is rushed, start prepping the Class 1s with Social Studies and Science from this September. Take the end-of-term marks from Class 3 and Class 4 and combine those.
