Removal will change the air quality, natural wildlife, natural vegetation of the soil, and the visual beauty all a part of the very fabric of this community.

For those of you not familiar with this tract of mature, old-growth maritime forest and canopy on the northern edge of AIP property .... there is a huge old "Southern Live" oak tree in the middle of this tract between the narrowest portion of Beachwood Rd and Burney Rd that is arguably larger and older than the famous "Landmark Oak" on the Marsh side off the side of Sea Marsh Rd. Its destruction would be a travesty as it is probably several hundred years old.

This is a wildlife and conservation area, not a construction site. A maintenance facility here means clearing mature trees and paving over land that supports wildlife and serves as a natural buffer for the whole community. Once that habitat is gone, it's gone and a facility of this size next to our homes will also hurt property values. And we were given almost no notice and no information to even weigh in before this moves forward.

i simply cannot believe that the board would consider building this in either the Beechwood location or the Willow Conservancy. It’s called “Conservancy” for a reason! This looks more like a satirical proposition out of the ONION than a serious proposal. We must unite behind this effort.
