This petition is important because we the indigenous is tired living a lie. Our ancestors was reclassified by the US Census Bureau and Colonizers for the sole purpose of lineage, identity, history, worship, wealth and calender theft amongst other things.

Beyond practical eligibility, reclassification is a matter of historical truth. Families deserve records that reflect who they actually were and are, not the identity a state registrar imposed on them for political reasons. For genealogists and family historians, correcting the record also improves the accuracy of the broader historical picture, both for the family in question and for the historical record of the tribe or community as a whole.
