I found I am mixed with several Indian bloodlines. My grandfather always told me about the five nations we are from. Now doing research I found a lot of discoveries about status,land patents. Patents of roll numbers m, Indian census from other tribes and nations my other ancestors are born. So I tired if the lies.

My family's own federal records prove this. My great-great-grandfather Rolie Joe Douglas was classified "Mulatto" on the 1910 census and "Negro" by 1920 — no migration, no new arrival, just a pen stroke that erased who he already was. His father-in-law's line traces to Creek land in Georgia before the 1821 treaty cession. There's no slave ship manifest in my family's paper trail because there was no ship. That absence is the evidence. Restoration of indigenous identity isn't abstract for us.
