My daughters have had to deal with the social experiments of this board and school system. I would like to see the focus return to solid education.

Transparent school boards are integral to our society’s functionality. They are trusted by our parents, teachers, and students. Paying child molestors is an outrageous breach of that trust. What else are they doing that is absolutely insane? I for one don’t want to wait and find out. They must resign.

It’s all about our children. Their safety is of utmost importance. ACPS has failed; even if ONE is harmed, that is one to many.

The school board needs to be held accountable for their actions with the proper disciplinary procedures. These children are innocent and need us as adults to advocate for them. Also, looking to hold all county school employees to keep their political agendas out of our schools.

Although we no longer have children in the Albemarle County school system, I believe a fresh start for a new school board and superintendent is imperative to ensure that all students are being taught what’s necessary to succeed in life.

I don’t understand how this individual can show his face in public much less not resign. Oh wait… it’s about money not the children he’s supposedly dedicated to. Disgusting.

Why should someone be rewarded for NOT doing according to his contract. His behavior should VOID all obligations from the school system AKA taxpayers!!!!

A serious and egregious failure of safety for the kids and mandatory communication with families should hold the superintendent responsible. Trickle down to the entire district is unacceptable. Failure of this magnitude, and with so much fallout, should not allow reward of any kind. The county has lost faith in the school system.

As a Child and Family Therapist specializing in trauma; I continue to sit w/ adults who are attempting to recover from childhood sexual abuse and am reminded by these recent developments within the ACPS school system that the predator is never a stranger parked in the van down the street but, rather; someone who is known to, and trusted by the child such as a teacher, coach, pastor or family member.
