This is a historical site. Any sale would be a breach of the original purpose of the trust, which is this community's educational and social enhancement.

As a Brower, I can't in good faith support Moore County's decision. Breaking a trust is in fact still illegal.

I am from this community, Davis Community Center was the elementary school for the black community, this is history for us that should remain within the community for historical reference.

This property has served the Davis Community for many years and should continue by transferring it to the Davis Community Center Development Council. The successful service of this facility to this community will end if it is sold to the highest bidder. The money that the County might get in a sale is minuscule as compared to its value to the community.

As others have stated in various ways, The Davis Community Building is Moore County’s History. I am a Moore County Native . Born and raised in Moore County and I’m so tired of seeing the peaceful country environment sacred places being bulldozed down. It’s so disgusting, disrespectful and disturbing to witness this happening.

Our community needs more publicly available space to meet the needs of our growing community.

I attended school here from 1957-1965. We also used the site for educational programs, athletic events, religious services, and family reunions. It is really sad for all that attended, and graduated from Hugh Davis School to see another part of our history removed (Bellview School House).

It belongs to the people of Moore County who need a community space.

This community has a history of self-governance, and this community center is part of that legacy. This public space - deeded to the county for a public use - should be returned to a public use where there are community members willing and able to take on its maintenance and operations.

My family used/rented out the facility when I was younger. I attended local baseball games at the facility.

I played baseball here as a kid and have many fond memories of the Davis Community Center.
