I believe the council selection process this time was not based on consistent or clearly defined criteria. I was told that I was not selected because I did not have strong enough grades. However, when I spoke to one of the council members who was appointed as President, I learned that their own results included E and D grades. This raises a genuine concern about whether the same standards were applied equally to all candidates. I believe the selection process should be transparent, merit-based.

My friends that were deserving were not even considered to be given the time they deserved in the interviews and they were rushed, people who were last year were chosen again

A lot of favouritism seemed to take place while selecting the A2 Presidents. The decision did not appear to be based solely on merit, leadership, or capability. I believe the selection process should have been more fair, transparent, and unbiased.
