I attend QES and no longer enjoy my break time or feel as if it is a break studio is overcrowded and noisy and it causes more issues than it solves. It also keeps me seperate from my sister who also attend the school and leaves me with no way to contact them which I think is unacceptable .

Separating children from there friends in different years isn't fair. Break time is there freedom time from lessons & they should be free to go within reason were they choose to go. Its worked for many years no need to change it now .. its school not army camp

The zoning is awful, we have barely any space and the zones are too over crowded, and I can't see my friends in other years the teachers say it's best for us, you know what no it isn't it's best for the teachers, they say it's so they can find us if we 'needed help' but what I need help is to stop this stupid zoning !

Even though as a 6th former I'm not affeced by zone, from what ive seen from everone else how appalling this entire thing is. Its more of a prison than school now, where you need a pass just to go get your pencil case you forgot in new close because thats not your zone.

Because it's healthy for the children to mix and helps them with learning how to be in the real world and learn how to cope by copying the older ones. Being able to mingle with cousins and siblings helps massively with not feeling isolated.

Witnessing the effect this is having on my child since the term began is upsetting and I cannot fathom why such an extreme measure is taking place. It is creating an unsafe and isolating experience for kids who cannot cope with noisy and busy spaces. There needs to be an explanation for why these zones have been introduced that actually makes sense. More transparency please.

When they announced the zoning, I was in tears as I wouldn’t be able to see my friends anymore at all inside of school. I am autistic and heavily rely on meeting my friends at break and lunchtime and this ‘rule’ has well.. honestly made me not want to attend school anymore. I am based in the studio school but it is so busy and cramped that I have to eat lunch on my own, upstairs, every day, with only teachers coming up to me telling me there’s nothing they can do about it.

QES has deteriorated in behaviour, facilities and staffing. New headteachers rules are poorly thought out: zoning is a major example. Studio has 15 rooms, yet 2 years are in it. Even with the outdoor area, there isn't enough space, and 1/3 was blocked off. This causes anxiety and cramps violence into a small area. Many students are stressed and burnt out with no real break time. Zoning separates friends, contradicting “QEFAMILY”. At the end of breaks, cafe queue becomes a 350+ person mosh pit.
