I have lots of friends in other years and I can't even see them I thought school was partly about socialising and now they have romeved that. Also the year 8 zone is tiny and crampt I can't even walk around school. Also if you think about it some of the school values are about socialising with people that maybe don't have the same views as you which is normally people that are a different age from you and just to not go against the school values they now only mention 4 of them

Students should be able to choose where they go and who they spend time with during their breaks. They need this time to socialise and exercise and this should not be restricted to a small area of the school grounds. Removing this autonomy gives the impression that they are not trusted to make good choices, which is an important skill for them to learn.

It seems that this new measure isn't working for pupils, so it needs removing. If QES wants to retain the respect it has within the community it needs to admit when it gets things wrong and reverse the decision. Be the grown-up, QES!

The new playground zoning is counterproductive. Cramming pupils into restricted spaces causes overcrowding, stifles active games, and builds unnecessary frustration. Crucially, segregating year groups cuts off vital cross-year mingling, stopping younger kids from learning from older role models and fracturing the school community. Break times should offer space to decompress. I urge the leadership to listen to the widespread concern it has caused so quickly and urgently review this decision.

This feels so degrading. Qes has literally become segregated and i cant even talk to others in different years. Theres literally no where to walk and no where else to go. Not to mention the year eight zone is ridiculously small. None of the teachers seem to see how messed up this is and it has turned school from a safe haven into a zoo.

I think that zoning should be got rid of. Doing laps of the school or playing with friends at lunch was the highlight of my day but now we can't even do that. My zone is overcrowded and I have no where to go. The library is filled with younger year groups and when your in there, your told to read a book or do homework. They say it helps "stop bullying" but how does it stop it when your forced to be in the same place as them. Please get rid of!!!!

Zoning was already occuring by friend groups separating out, and having an area. Trying to separate students into year groups creates no benefits, and causes dislike by forcing students near people who they might not actually like.

Qes school is becoming worse and worse , i am forced away from my friends and I and squashed next to people who I quite honestly never want to see again, my lunch and break consists of a patch of wet concrete and I can't enjoy the beautiful school site which they advertised and put so much work into, I literally can't see part of the school which I helped build and create!!! (Garden bit. School feels more like punishment and honest reminds me of a detention center FREEDOM IS A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT!
It is restrictive and has no benefit on anyone
