I believe that as a student athlete, and a girl with sometimes unexpected hygiene emergencies, it is very important to me that my privacy is respected and i do not have to contact home through the main office for everything

High schools should not ban phones completely. Phones can be important for safety if there is an emergency, and they can also be useful for schoolwork. Students should be allowed to use them during lunch or study hall for things like research or checking assignments. Instead of banning phones, schools should teach students how to use them responsibly and have rules for when they can be used.

Schools are no where near safe enough to not allow phones. Just because some old heads in office didn’t have phones back in their day doesn’t mean we can have them.

Self control of the use of the devices is something everyone needs to learn to do in today’s world. Taking them away is not the resolve of this issue, teaching the children to utilize them in the correct way and time is what should be focused upon
