The changes are not practical for the sailing in the Caribbean. We will have to cancel and go back to how it was before Starlink. Maybe sign up with the Amazon service when it comes available. Starlink is becoming overly burdensome both financially and for practical use. Just not worth the headache anymore if this change goes into effect. Such a shame.

We will be forced to stop using Starlink if these changes go ahead. We are retired and full time live aboard’s, we cannot afford the global priority plan and move between countries quicker than every 90 days. We will have to go back to using local SIM cards and SSB / Iridium Go for offshore. We much prefer Starlink!

We are retired on limited income and live full time on our boat. Weather, visa regulations and other constraints dictate where and when we move countries. The new Starlink rule will be very difficult for us logistically and financially.

I'm always changing countries want a service as mobile as my boat.

Very detrimental for digital nomads. With Starlink financially out of reach, the traditional slow speed non-satellite services become forcibly the preferred option.

Starlink needs to remain focused on customer service especially for those who regularly travel between countries and require reliable internet. Country and region restrictions will work against reliability and compromise safety. There needs to be a better option rather than enforcing new restrictions.

We have sailed thousands of miles across the Pacific, and Starlink has fundamentally changed what is possible for safe offshore cruising. It has allowed us to receive critical weather information, stay in touch with loved ones, and work from some of the most remote places on Earth. We deeply appreciate that innovation. We simply ask that the roaming policy evolve to support the realities of long-term international travelers instead of forcing us into an impossible choice.
