As full time live aboard sailors, we rely on Starlink for weather, clearance procedures in new countries, and conducting our personal business.
In an increasing digital world and as sailors with no easy way to receive mail, we are able to manage our affairs from our boat with Starlink. In areas like the Carribean, we are often not in any single country for 30 days, which makes changing our address to a new country challenging. The global priority plan is prohibitively expensive for us.

The customer service is the worst ever. I've never been able to talk to someone
and the interface is idiot friendly. Whoever designed their interface has their head up their ass. Just sayin.

Safety and affordability. Like most private sailors, I need a reliable satellite connection onboard my dailboat. I will have to switch to another satellite provider if this rule is implemented.

Starlink has been become an sailors necessity. Not only to keep in touch with friends and family but for safety as well. Navigating safe waters, staying away from bad weather and incoming storms but also emergency help if needed. Please reconsider.

It is a safety issue for many. Right now people can get weather updates while out at sea , let family know they are ok and just behind schedule. Find and plot alternatives quickly People that can’t afford global fees will just cancel it which will put them at risk. This is both a land and sea issue.

The new proposed rules for the Roam Unlimited are unattainable as we move through multiple countries in a few month period on our sailboat. We use Starlink for safety, weather files, and doctor’s visits when needed virtually. This new plan would not work for us or many other fellow sailors who use it the same way. We can not afford paying $600+ USD a month as we live on a tight budget. Thank you for consideration for coming up with a plan that would not lock us into a country for 90 days.

It is necessary to remove the 90 day rule because it just doesn’t make sense for Yacht owners because of our frequent required change of the country as it happens in areas like the Pacific.
As well it’s absolutely mandatory that the change of the Location/country can be done via a simple process online and without re-registering/selling the unit to another person.
