I never started using a Starlink to end up with restriction like this. On the contrary. That’s one of the reasons why I installed one. Might as well go back to 4G/5G if this goes through.

I feel that Starlink is treating private cruising boats the same as vessels using Starlink for commercial purposes where data use is much higher, and where expenses of Starlink are part of their business expenses. Cruising sailors on the other hand likely consume much less data and rely on Starlink for safety purposes, as well as staying connected to family and friends. Would it be possible to separate the two types of on-the-water customer? Cruisers often are on a shoestring budget.

We are international cruisers who risk losing Starlink under the new rules. Paying five times more is simply not affordable.
Starlink is a vital safety tool, allowing us to download offshore weather for ocean crossings, notify customers of our arrival 48 hours in advance, and work remotely from anchorages without mobile coverage.

We are the category of cruiser that waited until empty nest & retirement to begin cruising. Now with elderly parents/family members, being connected by Starlink has allowed us the ability to be connected to family and caregivers at all times when we cannot be present in person. It has been vital for Power of Attorney issues, managing a loved one’s finances and receiving medical reports from doctors. This new proposal is extremely disappointing to us as it severely impacts our cruising dream.

we need reasonable price and service starlink at sea ..if it goes to 700 per month no yachties can afford that and will not need to use starlink at all ..also many sailors are sailing around the world

I live full time on a cruising sailboat and am constantly travelling from country to country. The roam unlimited plan with ocean mode has been perfect for me. Please keep this!

I'm a retired local government fixed income retiree on a bank owned modest sailboat. Cruisers aren't rich,we travel at 5-knot vessels with travel dictated by weather windows. Starlink’s strict 30-day limit makes service unusable for us. This isn't luxury it's survival. Modern satellite tech replaced legacy safety nets like HF radios, so losing affordable access endangers lives. Burning customer loyalty will drive us to Amazon Kuiper. Please reconsider! I had a lot more to say but this is limited

We stay in the Bahamas longer than 30 days, this season received 150 days and need Starlink for communication while out of our home country United States.

I regularly sail between different countries so changing registered location on regular basis will make starlink unusable and the priority rate option is not a viable option due to its excessive cost.

The change in pricing structure makes it entirely impossible to access Starlink while cruising if you are not wealthy. Having access to Starlink at sea can literally save lives through the use of weather apps and routing etc.. please reconsider.
