Starlink makes our NGO sailing research vessel work possible! It would be a very big loss for us and for the work that we do if we were no longer able to afford internet access.

We are sailors and have been cruising on and off since 1992. We are presently sailing throughout the South Pacific and Starlink has been a tremendous asset in regards to the safety and communications which it provides.

As a sailing cruiser, this change means that we will have to be without communication often now. Now way to stay in contact with family and friends, get updated weather, etc. we’ve come to rely on Starlink for our internet access.

My wife and have been relying on Starlink for connectivity while cruising on our yacht the past two and a half years. We are retired and have a very limited budget and for us global priority is not affordable. The new rules will force us to find another way to access weather info.

For the onward journey by sailboat, it would be important for safety reasons to keep Starlink active.

As a sailor, Starlink has been an essential part of my safety, navigation and communication system. Please remove the 90 day transfer restriction. This rule would put me and my crew in jeopardy especially during cyclone season if we had to remain in a specific area to maintain service

Priority data will be too expensive for me. I’m cruising on my boat from country to country and only use the mini Starlink offshore for weather and occasional emails

Becuase Im permanently cruising and not likley to return home for some years, this is very important for all sorts of reasons from friends and fammily commuincations to more important weather safety and the different warning systems

I’m a Nomadic cruiser and a SpaceX/Starlink investor and really think making Starlink affordable and mobile for cruising boats is a huge safety thing.

The room plan has filled the perfect niche with allowing cruisers connectivity for safety, entertainment and contact with family and the rest of the world. The combination of global room when close to land and switching on the far more expensive mode when at Sea has struck a nice balance for global cruisers. The ladder being simply cost inhibitive. I would greatly urge you to consider either keeping the current plan or creating a hybrid plan that is priced at the target of cruisers.
