Im currently cruising the world on my catamaran and rely heavily on starlink. I simply cannot afford to upgrade to a more expensive plan if these new rules come into place.

As an overlander I will just cancel my Starlink completely if this isn't removed. We move between countries too quickly (by law) to have a restricted time on Starlink registration.

I live in Colombia. I bought a bought in Australia and I'm bringing it to Colombia slowly. The 90 day plan does not work for me. I legitimately live in Colombia so this change right.

For people who live on the water and travel to several countries a year, this is a big problem. We love Starlink it’s a massive safety upgrade for all of us, but limitations on the water are crippling the service.

Sailing around the world you can visit multiple countries in just 30 days. Or, crossing an ocean you can be at sea for more than 30 days. Without large geo-zones covering multiple countries or continents, the next best option is changing the 90 day rule. Sailors have come to rely on starlink, and budgets have already been stretched to using roam with ocean toggle.

I work half time online from our sailboat, which we have lived aboard for 20 years. I’ve seen the iteration of local sims to roaming sims to starlink and going backward would be very painful. Particularly now that we are in the Caribbean where we may spend a few weeks in each country, the new rules penalize us if we want to keep working while bouncing from island to island

There are parts of the world where the countries are very small and a voyager can easily see more than two or three in a very short period. Pricing should be more consistent in these places to make using Starlink less onerous for those of us who supported Starlink from the beginning.

As a cruiser on a sailboat, Starlink is a needed tool for checking into different countries. With the new changes coming on August 17, It will be too cost prohibited to continue to use Starlink.
