We live aboard full time and sometimes spend two weeks in one country before continuing to the next. Work and continual communication with our family and friends is why Starlink was the best option for us for the next few years as we progress on our circumnavigation. We may have to find another source. :(

Many people don’t realize but the majority of people sailing spend 80% of their time near land and 20% of their time on big passages. The problem for us is that this new change makes it impossible for us to stay connected during longer passages and stopovers at different countries. It poses a serious safety risk to many sailors on long ocean passages

We are cruising on our boat from Australia. It is impossible to be able to return to our country every 90 days. We need starlink for weather routing, safety, work etc
