We feel the roam unlimited was a fair price for the amazing technology Starlink pioneered. The requirement to register in each country is an interesting proposition to resolve usage/legal issues whilst maintaining functionality for sailing Gypsies

I am so grateful for the innovation that is Starlink. We lived in a home that was unable to get high-speed internet, and Starlink made running a business from home a possibility. Now, with our plan to transition to sailboat life, we are having to rethink many details—including safety, electrical setup, and business strategy. Everything is still possible, but we would definitely feel more secure knowing Starlink would be the affordable anchor to the plan.

Starlink is amazing. We had it in a remote location where there was no other option to get connected. Thank you for that! Now, we want to be able to retire to a sailboat and cruise to many remote islands and still stay connected and possibly work. We can’t do it if our budget has to include Global Roaming. Please help keep the price manageable so we can stay safely and reliably connected to the world by Starlink.

Cruising boats are slow and often jump between countries, especially between islands.

Starlink has become an integral component to our safety and satisfaction on our cruising sailboat. Like thousands of others we are not financially capable of moving to the global roam. Even the Roam Unlimited plan was a bit pricey for us but given the amazing Starlink service we made room for it in our budget. Please do whatever you can to allow us cruisers to continue to use this system at a cost that is tolerable.

As a sailor, I’m worried about 90-day country transfer rule, because we are travelling to see the world.
