Because my husband and I have lived in Cortez for 50 years now and I have been part of this since 2004 when I was a County Commissioner representing District #3! Over the past 22 years every time we turn around Carlos is making changes that only hurt our bay. Our Mangrove and estuarine habitat are crucial to Cortez Village's way of life!

The protection of the fragile ecosystem along Sarasota Bay including an uninterrupted mangrove shorelines is very important. The proposed SeaSpray/Aqua wall will create a dangerous environment for residents, especially during hurricanes.
