I don’t live here nor have I ever skated here but keeping this park is probably best for the community.

It was built by community for community and enjoyed by many. Pride in the creation of a gathering space for the sport is worth preserving.

I'm signing because I've seen this community of skaters, I've seen how supportive they are for one another. Mostly I've seen that they have a place they can go unbothered and that is invaluable.

“Plymside” the diy skatepark in Plymouth
Has become a landmark of New England. It is recognized world wide and people travel from all over to skateboard here. This also provided an influx of tourists that boosts the local economy and business traffic. This space also has taught the users and youth how to maintain and respect a property. How to repair masonry and how to envision something and turn it into a reality. Plymside is a stable that needs to remain. It provides a safe space for the youth

When my son was younger, we used to travel to different skate parks with him and his buddies in tow. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience of going to different parks, meeting new kids, and hanging out with their friends. These young people need a place to hang out together, be outside, off their phones and enjoying the camaraderie of a wonderful community.

This skateboard park is particularly good as it is designed, engineered, sourced and built by the skateboarders themselves. It asks nothing from the town by way of financial support. Furthermore brings support to the local surrounding bussineses. Also, in the umpteen years I have gone to not only this, but any skateboard park, I've been welcomed into the fold even though I am "the Mom" and witnessed the harmonious, supportive, communal nature that is skateboard culture. SAVE PLYMSIDE!

Too many children are staying indoors playing on their tablets, not getting exercise, breathing fresh air and socializing in person.
Shame on you for wanting to eliminate this space.

This park was hand built by skaters for skaters and gets frequent use of the public space. I don’t believe redoing the park and demolishing the skatepark that brings the people together would be doing any body any good unless the skatepark remained untouched

I grew up here this is the best thing about the town of Plymouth if this skatepark get demolished ill be more then disappointed the skatepark downtown Holmes park or whatever sucks the fence ruins countless boards costing the skaters hundreds of dollars it has no flow its a waste of money if the diy is taken away then all the skaters are gonna go back to the streets and not respect property owners the fact that we are forced to go be in a cage in a specific area and now thats being taken fuck th
