Protect Kumbia’s Children — Move the Workforce Camp

The proposed 424-person airport camp would create repeated workforce-bus movements through Kumbia and past Kumbia State School. Parents should not be forced to accept an avoidable safety risk because Council pursued infrastructure benefits at Kingaroy Airport.

Kumbia residents were never asked to choose this outcome and should not be blamed for Council’s decision.

We call on Council and RES to relocate the camp to project-controlled host land and keep workforce buses away from Kumbia State School.

Please sign and stand with Kumbia families—before it is too late.

Safety and access for children and parents must come first, this amount of excess traffic is a disaster waiting to happen.

This project has not considered the negative impacts to the local community and only the $$$. Reassess, relocate and be reasonable!

Host farm location is the safest and most sensible place for this camp.

The wind farm is meant to be a renewable energy, why have such a distance to travel to and from the wind farm - this is hypocritical. Increased risk of accidents. Shouldn’t happen

I was told by the windfarm for 2 years that they would put bus lanes in to get our school bus off the busy roads. Now they have rejected that and have now given our bus two lanes of heavy traffic to deal with and no way to get off the road to safely pick our kids up.

It's insane putting the camp anywhere except on the wind turbine footprint.

It’s the correct, sensible and safe thing to do.
