My family moved to Heights Road about 4yrs ago. It was extremely important to my husband and I to continue to preserve and maintain the beauty and grandeur of Heights Road as we began our own home renovations. I grew up in Bayside, Queens and I am all to familiar with how a neighborhood can change when a single home lot is divided up for multiple dwellings. It is so important for current and future residents to preserve & protect all the reasons they chose to live in an area in the first place.

I am signing this petition to help preserve the beautiful nature of Plandome. Allowing a subdivision such as this will adversely affect the value of neighboring properties and create an unwanted precedent.

Ruins the beauty of the neighborhood commercializing our beautiful town is unacceptable.

Beauty is rare. That is why it is so important to honor and maintain beauty. If we let it go, it is gone forever.

We want to keep Plandome the beautiful village that it was intended to be without decreasing the footprints of our lovely lots to squeeze in more houses .

There is a distinct charm to neighborhoods that maintain their original spatial design, and Heights Road in Manhasset is a perfect example of that. The Generous lot sizes create an estate-like, open feel that is becoming increasingly rare in suburban communities. When a larger lot is subdivided, it doesn't just change a single property line; it alters the rhythm of the entire streetscape-often leading to larger, closely packed homes that disrupt the visual flow the neighborhood was built upon.

This proposed subdivision is not in keeping with the ethos of the Plandome Village nor would the resultant lots fit in with the Plandome look.

For all the reasons listed in petition itself. Additionally, having grown up in area one of the reason I. Hose to buy 50 Heights road was the prestige my parents always associated with Heights Rd.

If the village allows this the character of this street will be destroyed.how the village can turn down next year the next petition to do the same thing?

Plandome is a place where we have a a warm and caring community. We have open spaces where we enjoy the natural landscape which is missing from communities that are overdeveloped. We need to preserve the quality of our village for our families, our neighbors and future residents of this very special village.
