I met Paul Walker when I was a senior at CAMBRIA Heights and he was playing in the pit band for our spring musical. He encouraged me to major in music at IUP, which I did. He was instrumental in helping me to secure my teaching position as elementary music educator at Northern. And… later… he became my brother-in-law. His musicianship is legendary, and his positive influence on students has had monumental impact on the area.

Mr. Walker was not only a great teacher but a great person. He projected kindness, caring and a hope for the future. We were part of the NC ski club and enjoyed many runs with him. A true role model

He inspired so many kids and band was a safe place to be and hang out when you needed such a space . I and all the others were very lucky to have him as our band instructor and music teacher.

Paul was not only my teacher but a friend of our families and lived in one of the homes that my mom had. We knew his children. He was a kind and gentle soul with talent that surpassed what you think of high school teacher would need. He made people smile. All of those things are definite qualities and I think it's a perfect idea to name a place that he loved in his memory!

Mr. Paul Walker is a music legend in this area. He has inspired my husband since middle school and they now play in the Community band together. He has inspired so many to reach their own musical talents through his love of music, dedication, and has changed so many lives for the better by just knowing him! We love Mr Walker!! He deserves this more than anyone I can think of!!!

Mr. Walker was a musical icon at Northern Cambria, spending his whole career there, I believe, and he continues to be an active part of the community. I wasn’t in band, but I still knew of his influence on music and the students of NCHS. I believe he deserves this honor.

Wasn’t in the band. Didn’t even really get to know Mr Walker. But remember his name and that all his students who were in the band absolutely loved this guy!
