It affects the rest of my life. We bought in Wittmann in 2022 and we were not made aware of any of these HUGE growths or of the potential annexation. I bought for the freedom, lack of HOAs and lower taxes. Why would I want any of this additional traffic, including a huge amount of semi trucks, increased taxes, loss of independence and "incorporation"? It would make life worse, not better.

We have lived in Wittmann since 2001. I grew up here, my husband and I love it so much we never left and bought our own home here. To do what we want with OUR property without anyone breathing down our necks. We’ve been here since Grand Ave was a 2 lane highway. There has been so many changes since then, it’s hard to keep up with. What you call “growth”, I call land grabs and greed. How many housing developments and box stores do you need? People move here to GET AWAY from that. Leave us alone!!

I have a small business here is Wittmann. Already the new build in my front yard has caused us problems. If they keep building out here the rural way of life will disappear here in Wittmann.

We moved to Wittmann to live in the country years ago. We chose the extra long drive in order to have lifestyle we enjoy. Now it feels like this is slowly being taken away from us.

As our community grows, it’s important that we protect the rural character, open spaces, larger properties, and sense of community that make this area unique. Growth doesn’t have to mean becoming another crowded suburb. We can welcome responsible development while still preserving the land, lifestyle, and identity that brought so many of us here in the first place.
Let’s grow thoughtfully. Let’s protect what makes Wittmann special. Let’s keep Wittmann rural.

I moved out of Surprise in order to escape the "big city" mentality, the unsustainable housing growth, lack of appropriate infrastructure accommodations and increasing violent crime rates. I enjoy the quiet, small town of Wittmann and believe its incorporation is the best way to ensure OUR voice is heard and represented by us, the RESIDENTS of Wittmann.

Wittmann needs to be incorporated. It shouldn't be so difficult (or expensive) to make this happen. Providing a community of this size with voice seems absolutely necessary.
