Justice for 2024 scheme students

Many students asked faculty members and college authorities about the year-back system under the KTU 2024 Scheme. At that time, no clear information was provided, and even the concerned staff were unsure whether a year-back system existed or not. Now, after students have already planned their academic progress based on the information available to them, suddenly stating that the 2024 Scheme includes a year-back system is unfair to students.

Many students have worked hard despite facing academic challenges, and a year-back can have a huge impact on graduation, placements, higher studies, and personal circumstances. I hope the university considers a fair and compassionate solution that allows deserving students to continue their academic journey without losing an entire year.

Respected Sir/Madam, We, the students under the KTU 2024 Scheme, humbly submit this petition regarding the difficulties faced due to the implementation of the year back / minimum credit system. As per the current regulations, students are required to secure minimum cumulative credits for registration to higher semesters. Reports and student notices related to the 2024 scheme mention credit requirements such as 18 credits from S1 & S2 for S5 registration.
