It is the main direct access from Homestead Drive to Pine Knoll Drive on the other side of Troy Gully where we often walk to visit friends.

I used this bridge everyday for walking and exercise. Its closure has curtailed my walks and enjoyment of the other side of the gully. I used to visit friends in Pine Knoll Dr walking from my home in Renshaw Dr. Now it is much harder or I have to drive.

We have been using that footbridge since we moved to the area in 1991. It's necessary for safe and varied walking trails around Troy Gully, an important natural reserve for residents of East Dubbo. The footbridge is a necessary conduit for residents living on either side of the gully. Our family was involved in planting natives in the gully in the 1990's and would appreciate the footbridge being reinstated.

My kids and I use it to visit friends on the other side of the gully. We’d have to walk around using the roads otherwise - not as safe and it takes much longer.

It is an important access point that my grandchildren that live in Websdale st regularly used to cross the gully to my place in Webber drive and vice versa. Also as there is no regular bus route in the homestead green area the closest point to catch a bus down town is to cross Troy gully footbridge and access the bus on the Eastridge bus route.

So disappointed to see the bridge in disrepair. I used it consistently for my daily walks and many other people did too
