My daughter loves going here for summer camps. My cousin and I went when we were young. My dad and uncle also attended. It’s very important to our family.

I have attended Camp Michigamme as both a camper and later a counselor. I can't even begin to explain how instrumental it was in helping me grow in my faith through the fellowship that the camp was able to provide in an environment that was safe to do so in. There are very few opportunities for anyone in the Christian community that provides what this camp has had to offer. Losing it would be a grave mistake.

The original plan presented was to to my understanding was that there would be some time for those trying to save camp to come up with a feasible plan for its future use. There was a deadline given, deadline was taken away and the option gone- or so it sounds like. You can't ask people to come up with a plan, give them a deadline and then just revoke it before they even get a chance to come up with the plan prior to the given deadline. Well I guess you can, but it isn't ideal.

My husband’s parents met here and my mother in law’s family were some of the camp’s first staff and supporters (Hampton Family). My children enjoyed attending Michigamme as children and I would like to see more children and youth have this faith-filled experience.

This camp means alot to me. The sign in front has my Dads picture on it. We donated the sign when he passed away.There are 4 generations in my family that have attended that beautiful place. I help build Lutey Cabin. There

It is important to keep this historic Christian camp not only because of the importance of preserving our history but also to have a place for children to learn and hear about God and join together to experience going to camp meeting Godly friends and worshiping and embracing God in a safe environment
