I am a Camp alumnus from the 1950s. There is no future in selling off an irreplaceable asset and frittering away the proceeds. That only delays the day of reckoning. Better to deal with the problems now.

So many memories of God's amazing love have been made here by myself and my older children. I'm praying my two younger children will have the same experience soon, one day!

God is truly at work here and is guiding a group of Christians to reignite the flame of Camp Michigamme. This is what our world needs more of now. Let’s fan the flame, keep it going and “Pass it On”. Please don’t snuff it out.🙏✝️🔥

Camp is hallowed ground. Many people have been introduced and accepted Jesus here. The presence of the Holy Spirit abides in this camp. It has brought generations of families and believers together in God's name.

This place was the highlight of my childhood. Many children find God just because of this place stolen. This camp will only hurt the people that have been there, but it’s gonna hurt future generations.

Some of my greatest memories are from my times at Camp Michigamme. I would not be the man I am today without this camp.

Some of my fondest memories of my growth in Christ were thru experiences shared with fellow followers while at Camp Michigamme. My first time being "brave enough" to praise God with song in front of others.

This camp has been a huge part of my life, both in faith and just for life in general, as a camper, volunteer, and staff member I have seen the great things that have been possible at camp. It would be truly a loss to us here in the UP if the camp were to never return at all.

On the last night of Senior High camp, just after sharing communion together in the old Grace Hall, word spread that we all needed to go outside to see the moon. What we saw was a full moon with a perfectly vertical ray of light through the moon, even reflecting in the water below. Even more astonishing, there was a vertical ray of light across the moon, forming the most glorious cross you can imagine. This was mid-1980's. The emotion of that moment will not be forgotten.

Reconnecting with nature is vital to reconnecting to our place within God's creation...
Perhaps connection to our other Michigan districts could open up possibilities and ideas of maintaining and revitalizing the space. Connection with other nonprofits? Urban retreat and survival challenge experiences.
It seems like it would be quite a loss compared to the possibility of a revisioning and revitalizing of the intangible value that the space holds.

I grew up going to camp, worked there for the past five years, and it became a second home to me. I want camp to be able to keep making impacts in other children's lives. Maybe my own kids someday.
