This camp has been a huge part of my life, both in faith and just for life in general, as a camper, volunteer, and staff member I have seen the great things that have been possible at camp. It would be truly a loss to us here in the UP if the camp were to never return at all.

On the last night of Senior High camp, just after sharing communion together in the old Grace Hall, word spread that we all needed to go outside to see the moon. What we saw was a full moon with a perfectly vertical ray of light through the moon, even reflecting in the water below. Even more astonishing, there was a vertical ray of light across the moon, forming the most glorious cross you can imagine. This was mid-1980's. The emotion of that moment will not be forgotten.

Reconnecting with nature is vital to reconnecting to our place within God's creation... Perhaps connection to our other Michigan districts could open up possibilities and ideas of maintaining and revitalizing the space. Connection with other nonprofits? Urban retreat and survival challenge experiences. It seems like it would be quite a loss compared to the possibility of a revisioning and revitalizing of the intangible value that the space holds.

I have a long-ago history with Camp Michigamme and would like to see it remain as an opportunity for the United Methodist Church!

I grew up going to camp, worked there for the past five years, and it became a second home to me. I want camp to be able to keep making impacts in other children's lives. Maybe my own kids someday.

I think it is important to see the camp used for ministry and not sold for profit

Camp Michigamme was instrumental to my childhood development, and is a resource to be treasured within the Upper Penninsula. I dont have kids yet but I hope they might have the opportunity to attend the Camp in some form in the future.

As a disciple of Camp Michigamme for several years I can genuinely say that loosing this holy place would be a disservice to youth and the lifelong positive impact the camp offers one in life.

Treasured assets like Camp Michigamme need to be preserved to continue to teach our youth life lesson, skills and benefits of a faith base community.

It was a huge part of my life. A lot of life long memories and friends. A very special place. Had the pleasure of being able to witness so many friends and cancers give their life to Christ
