On June 16, the Embassy informed us that any English certificate accepted by the university would be accepted. Based on this, many students submitted EnglishScore, and some have already received their visas. However, from one day to the next, students whose files had not yet been processed were asked to provide IELTS, without prior notice. This is especially difficult due to the lack of available IELTS dates.

I am signing this petition because VFS Global has suddenly stopped accepting English proficiency certificates that were previously accepted by Italian universities. Many students have had their English certificates officially verified and accepted by their universities, yet VFS is now requiring IELTS instead. Our universities accepted and verified our language certificates, and based on this verification, we completed our admission procedures and planned our studies in Italy. It is unfair to change the requirements during the same visa cycle. I sign this petition in opposition to the unfair and discriminatory policy of imposing an IELTS requirement in the middle of the visa application process. Many students, including those who submitted their applications at the same time as us and paid the same fees, have already been given only a few days to comply with this new requirement.
