I spoke with people who knew the elderly man who was killed very well.
He had brought a prostitute to his apartment on several occasions. This woman—who was Panamanian—had a serious problem with "tussie," an unregulated street drug cocktail. She was arrested, and I heard she is facing 47 years in prison.
It is a tragedy, but I don't think it points to a security issue or a need for tighter controls. The JW security team does an excellent job.
It was an impossible situation to foresee.

Security is extremely important. I need feel safe and know that only residents are allowed in. All visitors should stop at the concierge desk and sign in, even if with a resident.

We are an elderly couple living our best life in panama. We do not want to be worried about needless crime in our building. Security should be a priority.

I am very concerned about the safety of my family. We have random delivery guys knocking on our door and also I am so worried when I see these old men with young girls! It’s embarrassing and really so unpleasant for our families who come to visit. The safety feature is just not taken into consideration by these men! They have sisters, daughters, mums! Is this how they treated them! Exposing decent people to danger! What is administration going to do about this?

As a new owner at TOC and a single female I chose TOC in large part because of its security. These recent events have shaken my confidence in the property management.
