I think it is important for the government to understand how taxing it is on parents to purchase brand new books each year that in most cases are not fully used by the end of the school year. It is such a waste. My sons are going to be into grades 3 and 5 and my book lists came up to $67,000.00 !!! It’s madness. I should be able to hand down books from one child to another.

For a great many years my three children regularly used only a few of the many books on a long list and the remainder very rarely. In view of the rising cost of living, it is even more important to keep books affordable ( perhaps rented) and be very sure they are absolutely necessary. Can more material be provided on-line for students?

Why can't school books, uniforms, and supplies be included in school fees (fees which are already expensive enough on their own)
