We need our mountains to stay mountains

As long as North Ogden issues building permits that means we don’t have limited water. Quality of life in North Ogden is the issue at risk. Driving I -15 home from the base every work day I encounter the daily lane backup on the freeway at the 2700 North off ramp and pray I don’t die from the speeding cars behind me. Infrastructure like this needs to catch up to growth we have already had. Smart high density needs to be along public transit corridors not on the mountain where there is no UTA.

I am concerned about the proposal to build more than 1,600 homes in North Ogden. Our city already experiences issues with water pressure, power outages, and traffic, and I worry that this level of growth could place additional strain on these services and infrastructure. I value North Ogden’s small-town community and character, and I do not want the city to change in ways that would diminish what makes it feel like home.

This type of initiative goes right along the lines of globalism which advocates for high density housing and placing more people in a confined location, making it easier for those who are proposing this to track the movements of individuals. Do Flock cameras and data centers mean anything to anyone? Don’t think it’s not happening.

Need to see a bulletproof plan for water—We’re already on a ration. Need to see a highway access route to 89. The buildout on 450 is already taking forever. School traffic is a NIGHTMARE.—actually all hours is a huge inconvenience. Need to see a bulletproof plan for infrastructure and traffic that does NOT put traffic through neighborhoods like what? Indefinitely? When is the current project going to be done? Listen finish that first. Then start talking about the next project. No for now.

We do not need anymore houses developed in this area. I agree it will push too much traffic into an already developed area! This will put a constraint on our already tapped resources.

Current residents live in North Ogden for the green space and lower density living. Our kids are able to run around in low traffic neighborhoods and enjoy being a kid. We also don’t have the water to support this kind of growth. I can’t water my lawn but we can add this kind of growth? Doesn’t make sense.

North ogden does not need more high density housing with no infrastructure in place to support the growth

I believe future development needs to take into account the current needs and capacity of our community. Our roads are already congested, our water resources are limited, and our schools are struggling with overcrowded classrooms. Adding more homes could put even more strain on families who already live here. Please listen to the concerns of the residents who live in this community and make decisions that protect our quality of life and do what is best for the community as a whole.

North Ogden can't keep up! Police force will/currently needs help. More people need more police. To tag along with the constant road work that has been miss calculated with the growth currently up and down 400 east! Travel from the 2700 north freeway is already an issue without this added population. Also to add to the congestion on and off the freeway at 2700 north isn't or has not been setup for the massive traffic! New high school is a chat we need to have!

Over-building in No Ogden is beyond ridiculous NOW! In the 6 years we’ve lived here we haven’t had a moment’s peace or been able to enjoy our own home, eating or barbecuing on our deck, even on weekends or holidays! Big trucks trashing the streets & constant noise! Digging & hammering driving rodents & snakes our way we pay! Also paid thousands for a whole house air purification system to no avail! The dust & air quality in our home is horrible! NO to Money grubbin’ City/Builders NOW! Enuf!

Stop destroying our mountains! Roads to the area are already too busy with people driving way too fast.

We do not have the infrastructure in place to support 1600 more families. The schools are already overcrowded with 30 plus kids in classes. Not to mention the trouble schools are already having staffing appropriately the students already enrolled, we do not have the capacity to handle 1600 more families in our schools. Traffic is already becoming a problem and will only get worse if this goes forward. As a north Ogden resident I oppose this development.

Increased traffic, more safety hazards, already strained water spply, increased community tax burdens, landslide area, violation of existing zone, beyond previously agreement, increased population resulting in more noise.

We need to preserve the ben lomond shoreline and what little nature we have left in north ogden as well as to not continue to build when we have little water rights and limited infrastructure to handle this much

We don't have the infrastructure to add that many houses.

North Ogden can't keep up with current infrastructure requirements, adding that many more homes would make it worse. There is also not enough access to that area and would significantly increase traffic.
