This property should not be resumed due to lack of adequate ingress/egress, fire danger due to proximity to the new river brushfires, increased traffic in and around existing school site, potential flooding with highly polluted waters, and the sheer number of people housed in a closed off site with only one egress/egress accent point could be detrimental in a fire/earthquake crisis.

I oppose this project because of the potential of flood damage to residences and the streets are not adequate to handle additional traffic of a couple hundred additional new residents.

There’s better places for this proposal.

This will not be a good addition to this neighborhood.

This proposal makes no sense in so many different ways. There are other reasonable locations in Brawley that would benefit and not harm the community.

Traffic congestion, and safety concerns along the narrow portion of North Rio Vista and surrounding streets are major issues.

This location would be quite problematic for residents already using Rio Vista for travel. There certainly could be found a more appropriate area for housing this number of families.

This complex will not have adequate access & is down in an area that could possibly flood.

This is not a good area for an apartment complex

Not only is the traffic going to be a problem but what about the health of the new residents with the proximity of the New River?

This are is below grade and gets flooded every storm. It’s also near the near river which has had many large fires which would put the tenants at risk frequently. I think it’s a huge liability to the city in addition to a health and safety risk to tenants

I don't think this property is well suited to a large residential complex. It is adjacent to a high fire risk area. It seems like ingress and egress would be challenging because Rio Vista North of River is barely two lanes and cannot easily expanded. I can envision the developers and/or city wanting expropriate land from the residential property on the West side of Rio Vista between Trail and Jones streets, which is highly objectable. it is not already in a flood zone, it is very close to it.

That section of N Rio Vista is not only incredibly narrow, it is also prone to erosion damage, having to be shut down for part of the year for repair. It will only be further damaged by the amount of traffic this proposed project will generate.

There is no need for appartments to be built in this area there is other areas to go build at stop trying to build in places that’s not considered the location for it!

I work at the elementary school down the road. Traffic is already super congested in the morning and after school. This sounds like a total disaster!!!!

Impractical solution to egress - only one street out which is within 2 lots of a preschool and a few blocks of two schools. Questionable solution for sewage - which will require 24 hr pumping up to the main lines with huge exhaust fans for noxious fumes. Multiple fires have occurred in or near that location and would place the residents at risk. Same area was flooded in the last heavy rain eroding part of the intersection above and subsequent runoff eroded part of the area to be developed.
