We, the undersigned residents of Mulberry Meadows, hereby object to the use of the roads and infrastructure within the Mulberry Meadows estate as a means of vehicular, construction, or permanent access to the proposed adjoining residential development of approximately 100 homes.
We request that Ansford Parish Council, Stonewater, Corylus Ltd, South Somerset planning authorities, and our Member of Parliament, Sarah Dyke MP, give full consideration to the concerns of existing residents regarding:
• Increased traffic and congestion on estate roads.
• Road safety risks to pedestrians, children, elderly residents, and other vulnerable users.
• Additional pressure on existing estate infrastructure.
• Noise, disturbance, and environmental impacts.
• The effect on the character, amenity, and quality of life of Mulberry Meadows residents.
• Any other adverse consequences arising from the use of Mulberry Meadows as an access route to the proposed development.
We therefore ask decision-makers to reject any proposal that would require access through Mulberry Meadows and instead require an alternative access arrangement that does not utilise roads within the estate.

One important part that needs to be considered is the impact on the local environment. We already have bats, newts, toads, hedgehogs around our property, removing further green spaces will impact this further, and reduce the available spaces for wildlife.
The roads on estate are already dangerous with kids running and cycling around. Also the blind bend from blueberry lane into blackberry drive is an accident waiting to happen as connects with Pear Close
I believe that it will negatively impact this community . Children are able to play outside without fear from the volume or speed of cars. This would change if the rate was used by approximately 200 additional non estate vehicles
The existing Persimmon development plans, which are readily available, appear to show access being provided through the Persimmon development rather than via Mulberry Meadows. Mulberry Meadows is already a busy residential estate, and introducing additional development traffic would place further pressure on an already constrained access route. The proposed route already has vehicles parked along it, blind spots and areas of restricted visibility, creating potential hazards for pedestrians etc
We completely object as the additional traffic will be dangerous. The construction traffic will be unbearable, unsafe and no consideration will be taken for residents
Many residents will be unfairly impacted by road safety issues, especially for children, as well as noise and pollution from heavy vehicles during construction on access roads that are totally inadequate as access routes. The combined estate will become much too large to only have one main entrance and exit onto Station Road and that would be very dangerous in an emergency situation.
I object to the proposed access through Mulberry Meadows because the estate and surrounding roads are already under traffic pressure. This would increase congestion, noise and disturbance and create further safety concerns for children and elderly residents. The increased traffic and associated environmental impacts would significantly and unfairly impact on the quality of life of existing residents and is neither appropriate nor sustainable.

I strongly object to even more houses being built. We already have two new housing estates that are not even full, so why do we need to keep building more? We are a small village community and the infrastructure simply isn't keeping up with all this development. My children play on this road and I am really concerned about it becoming a cut-through with even more traffic.
