For years, parents at The SAE School have asked for better meal options, healthier ingredients, improved food quality, and access to complete ingredient lists. Unfortunately, many families feel these concerns have been repeatedly ignored, while students continue to struggle with the food being provided.
This year, there has been a noticeable increase in DoorDash orders and outside food deliveries because many students refuse to eat the school meals. When outside food isn’t available, some children simply aren’t eating, or they aren’t eating enough to maintain healthy energy throughout the school day.
Children can’t learn, focus, play, and participate fully when they’re hungry. School meals should be nutritious, appealing, and made with ingredients parents can review and feel comfortable serving to their children.
We respectfully ask The SAE School administration to:
- Consider additional food vendors and improved meal options.
- Provide families with complete ingredient and nutritional information.
- Gather honest feedback from students and parents about the current meals.
- Allow parents to source and review available vendor options and participate in a vote.
- Create a clear plan for improving the school food program.
Our first PAT meeting is August 21, 2026 at 8:30 AM, and we hope to formally bring these concerns to the administration’s attention at that time. This petition isn’t about criticizing school staff. It’s about advocating for our children and making sure their basic nutritional needs are being met during the school day.
By signing this petition, you’re asking The SAE School to listen to families, explore better food vendor options, and include parents in the decision making process.
Our students deserve meals they’ll actually eat, ingredients families can trust, and enough healthy energy to learn and thrive throughout the day.
