No pavements and several blind corners make it unsafe for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Unless we were to have traffic calming like bumps or chicanes, which would not be appropriate in this beautiful village, better speed restrictions must be the way to go.

All villages should have 20 mph speed limit. Graffham does not have any paths for pedestrians and there is a little infant school.

Within the proposed 20 mph zones vehicle speeds above this are unsafe, particularly for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. We do not have pavements or street lighting - motorists should respect our use of the roads in the village and the 20 mph limits should prompt them to do so. Entering the 40 mph proposed buffer zones would raise awareness of the need to transition from the 60 mph National Speed Limit.

We are always seeing near misses on the bend in front of our house and delivery drivers in a hurry passing horses and pushchairs where there are no pavements

As a villager who frequently walks to various destinations in the village, it is common to encounter vehicles who do not expect anyone, vehicle, pedestrian, horse rider or cyclist to be coming the other way. A lower speed limit would seem appropriate to protect all road users as the narrow, often twisty roads dictate.

There are no pavements or street lighting and I have personally had several near misses due to speeding vehicles whilst waking, cycling and riding my horse. A friend had a nasty fall off my horse which resulted in long term back pain due to a speeding BMW.

We don’t have pavements in the village so we all walk on the lanes and too many drivers go through too fast. Children should feel completely safe to walk down to the shop or Rec. I also cycle to work most days and it’s horrible hearing vans and cars racing up behind me, hoping that I’m visible.

This is a small village and the road running through it is narrow and twisty used by walkers, riders and cyclists as well as vehicular traffic. Sometimes cars driving through are going much too fast which is dangerous for other users.
