Make Graffham's roads safer

With no pavements or verges it is dangerous walking more than one dog on a lead, pushing a push chair, roads that link to our Bridleways 60 mph is crazy to link the Bridleway from Norwood we have to enter a 60mph Some delivery drivers do this speed, very dangerous for equestrians and leading moving horses from paddocks being pushed into the rough edges 30mph past village shop, pub and rec entrance, war memorial is too fast. Needs to be 20 mph. 20mph up to the school and church

This will greatly improve the safety of other road users including pedestrians and horse riders in the buffer zones where drivers seem to think they are on a motorway. Hopefully having slowed down in the buffer zones they will then adhere to the 20 miles an hour in the centre of the village.

As a mum of 2 young boys who love their bikes, walking the dog and as a horse rider, the roads are often narrow and have blind bends. You might have thought this would keep drivers speeds down of itself, but unfortunately it doesn’t. I’ve had several near misses whilst riding, and one with the children on their bikes. Please reduce the speed limit before there is a serious incident. The restriction needs to be in place and then it could be enforced. Thankyou

The street outside our house Northwood farm is 60 miles . With walkers , horse riders and access to driveways is untenable. A reduced speed limit to 40 would better.

Approaching our village at 60 may be legal but it is not safe. There have been many cars leave the road at Merlin’s Wood, there is no pavement from the campsite to the village and many stables/livery yards meaning pedestrians and horses are regularly put at risk. 20 within the settlement is well supported and 40 leading into the settlement seems to be a suitable buffer justifiable on safety grounds.

Currently the speed of traffic is far to fast. The roads were built for cyclists, horses & pedestrians.

We have narrow bendy unsighted roads and bends throughout the village.No pavements and horseriders with an infant school at the top It seems common sense

Always walking around village to shop and dog walks. It’s impossible to avoid going on a road during my walk. There are no verges nor safe places to stay when two cars meet going in opposite directions. I have some near accident through no fault of mine.
