The roads approaching, and through the village, are used by walkers, horse riders, dog walkers, children on their bikes and deer. There are no pavements available and therefore a reduction of the speed limit to 20mph in the village and 30mph approaching the village would be advantageous to many.

I fully support a 20mph limit in the central part of the village but have reservations about the proposed lengths of the buffer zones. For example, It does not seem necessary for a 40mph limit to be applied to the long straight section of Woodcote Lane where there are no visibility problems for drivers or walkers.

Our house sits on straight stretch of Graffham Common Rd on Selham/Graffham border. Cars come through at crazy speeds. We fear for ourselves and our grandchildren when visiting. Speed limit of 20mph would be perfect but how do you police it?

The increase in traffic and the speed some people drive through the village is worrying. I completely agree with the 20mph limit within the village and the 40mph limit along the routes approaching it.

I fully support the proposal to reduce the speed limit in the village from 30 mph to 20 mph and the introduction of the 40mph buffer zones. The lanes leading into the village are far too narrow and twisting for speeds above this to be safe for the many walkers, horse riders and cyclists who regularly use them. I have always thought the 60mph limit to be far too fast given nature of the lanes and would even support the 40mph limit being extended further.

Cars and motorbikes regularly doing well over 30 on the approach and leaving the village on Graffham road. We have a slightly blind view on exiting our driveway which is dangerous if cars are speeding.

It’s in everyone’s interest that uses of our roads no matter what group you are in to help to keep the roads as safe as we can in our village and beyond, if this means slowing traffic through the village can only be a good thing!
In my time as a resident , I’ve noticed traffic volumes increase considerably overtime , I’m delighted our council are acting on this.

Our Young children who will be 12 and 10 soon and looking to walk to the shop and school buses etc. it is especially things like builders in big trucks and delivery companies who speed like mad around here which is our biggest concern

We live on Graffham Common Road, just as the signage goes from the national speed of 60mph to 30mph, and reverse speeds depending what side of the road you are on, over the years the road traffic has changed. Drivers speed up once they see the national speed limit sign, we don't have the luxury of pavements and to have speeding car coming towards you is very frightening and especially when you have dogs with you. 20mph would be a good thing, cynically people will then drive at 30mph.
