I like this idea. I grew up near the stadium in northwest Denver and, like many others, have fond memories of game days. That said, after seeing the artist’s rendering of a possible park, I wonder how it will be funded. Denver already has the state’s second-highest tax burden on residents, behind only Boulder. For decades, city leaders have shown little understanding of fiscal responsibility, and their track record gives little reason to expect that to change. I hope for better in the future.

This land is owned by the people of Denver and should be kept open as parkland for the people of Denver. Also, put it a big dog park. That neighborhood has more dogs than kids by a large margin!

Denver has enough infill. Look at the congestion the area around Sloan's Lake has caused. Drive down 17th Ave, or Grove, or Hooker, or any of the north/south residential streets and you see the congestion. Make some open space.

It is important to provide for green space and trees and native plants and wildlife. That area has been just concrete for more than 50 years. It would be a beautiful addition to our city.

Denver needs parks that keep up with the time of modern society, and on a scale large enough to support the large surrounding communities. Imagine how nice it would look passing on I-25, and seeing a beautiful thriving community, participating in health and wellness.

This is a fantastic idea and one I hope will be seen to fruition. That area is legendary. It's already sad the stadium won't be there anymore as drivers go round that bend. I for one love seeing it. Making it a beautiful multi use park would be great!
