Bullying and ridicule online or in person is just wrong. Especially over a video game. And even though game companies can't control the actions of their players. They can show what behaviour they agree with through a message or lack there of. And staying silent through everything can only get them so far before it starts to tarnish their game and integrity. I love the game and would hate to have it ruined by people who think harassing people is ok.
